Alex Reidell (G3)

Alex Reidell is a third-year graduate student in the Hosseini group. His research studies correlation between nanoparticle composition and electrocatalytic properties. He received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Ohio Wesleyan University in 2023. He was a student athlete competing in track and field. In his free time, he enjoys the outdoors, lifting, and playing piano.

Pavithra (G2)

Pavithra is a second-year graduate student. She has a master’s in chemistry from Manipal Institute of Technology India, where she worked on developing metal corrosion inhibitors. She majored in microbiology, zoology, and chemistry in her bachelor’s degree from St. Aloysius College Autonomous India. Born and raised in India, she is now focused on research in electrochemistry and redox reactions in the Hosseini lab.

Jackson Hardister (G1)

Jackson Hardister is a first-year graduate student in the Hosseini lab. He received his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Wingate University in 2023. His current research focus is the development of nanoscale ion-selective electrodes. In his spare time, Jackson enjoys cooking, fishing, reading, and traveling with his wife, Sarah.

Skylar Stewart (G1)

Skylar Stewart is a first-year graduate student in the Hosseini lab. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of South Carolina in 2025. Her current research focus is investigating the electrochemistry of nitroarenes. Outside of her academic work, Skylar stays active with the Carolina Competitive Dance Club and enjoys spending time with her dog, Korah.

Chris LeBarron (G1)

Chris LeBarron is a first-year graduate student in the Hosseini lab. He received his bachelor’s degree in environmental science and biochemistry and molecular biology from the University of South Carolina in 2025. His current research is unraveling hydride formation mediated with a Ni-based electrocatalyst. In his spare time, Chris enjoys crocheting, hiking, and playing games.

Abby Koczaja

Abby Koczaja is a junior biochemistry and molecular biology major from Franklin, TN. She is interested in attending graduate school after college and plans on pursuing a career in STEM. Outside of the lab, she enjoys knitting, reading, playing the violin, and spending time outdoors.

Finleigh Callahan

Finleigh Callahan is a sophomore undergraduate student from Rhode Island majoring in chemistry. She plans to attend graduate school in the pursuit of a PhD. Outside of academics, Fin enjoys going to the gym, spending time with friends, and is a member of Delta Zeta. 

Meredith Stewart

Meredith Stewart is a sophomore from Lexington, SC studying for her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology with a minor in Spanish. She plans to attend medical school in her future. She enjoys reading, working out, and spending time with her Alpha Xi Delta sisters.

Mustafa Alameri

Mustafa Alameri is a sophomore from Fort Mill, SC majoring in biochemistry and molecular biology. He plans to attend medical school after his undergraduate studies. In his free time, he enjoys learning new things, working out, hanging out with friends, and participating in volunteer opportunities along with TriBeta.

Natalia Redshaw

Natalia Redshaw is a sophomore biology major and Spanish minor at the University of South Carolina planning to attend medical school in the future. She’s part of Carolina Club Tennis and Alpha Xi Delta. In her free time, she loves going to the beach, playing pickleball, and spending time with friends. 

Liesl Walter

Liesl Walter is a sophomore currently pursuing a degree in biochemistry and molecular biology with a minor in neuroscience at the University of South Carolina. Her long-term goal is to attend medical school. She serves as the Secretary of the Women and Health Care Organization at USC, and in her free time enjoys playing volleyball and hiking with my friends.
